Vitiligo Day Walk 2017

25 June 2017 is the 8th anniversary of Michael Jackson’s death and also World Vitiligo Day.  As in previous years, the Society is mounting a London walk which will be led by yours truly, Jeff Lock.  The walk is  an opportunity for Society members to get together in a friendly social event.  Friends and family are welcome to join in. This is the 4th annual walk and previous events have been at Rotherhithe, Boston Manor and Hampton Court.

This year, the walk will start at Tower Hill and will finish at the Cutty Sark in Greenwich. Along the way we will pass many historic points of interest including the Tower of London, St Katherine Dock, Shadwell Basin, Limehouse Basin and Canary Wharf . At Canary Wharf, there will be an opportunity for refreshments in the Henry Addington Public House.  The walk includes a short section of the Thames Path.

The distance from Tower Hill to Canary Wharf is 6 Kilometres and those who feel this is far enough can catch the DLR or tube back to London.  The walk will then continue for another 3.5 Kilometres via the many docks which form Canary Wharf and the Thames foot tunnel to Greenwich Cutty Sark.  At the end of the walk there are trains or DLR back to London.  As always there will be the opportunity to make a donation to the Society at the conclusion of the walk.

The meeting point is Trinity Square Gardens which is directly opposite the exit of Tower Hill Tube Station (District and Circle Lines) .  The start time is 11.00

Everyone is welcome but please register using the form below so that I know who to expect.
